Slack Notifications allow your teams to get notified when new companies or contacts are added to selected audiences.
What channels can I send the notifications to?
You can send notifications to public or private Slack channels.
To send notifications to a private channel, you first need to add the Dreamdata app to your private channel in Slack by following the guide: How to add the Dreamdata app to a Slack private channel. This is not required for public channels.
When and how often will the messages be sent?
The Dreamdata App will automatically send messages following each data modelling run, as configured in the Data Modelling Schedule section of the Data Hub.
What information is included in the messages?
Slack messages include the following information, if available:
For each specific company:
Company Name
Company Logo
Account Owner (tagged)
Company Country
Company Industry
Company Employees
Engagement Score
For each specific contact - without PII (Personally Identifiable Information):
Role
Seniority
Country
Company
For each specific contact - with PII (Personally Identifiable Information):
Full name
Email
Title
Country
Company
Examples of Slack notifications
How to set up Slack Notifications?
On Dreamdata's main menu, navigate to Activation Hub -> Notifications and select Slack.
Click the Enable button to connect your Slack account.
Allow the Dreamdata App to send notifications to your Slack workspace
Click the Add New button to create a new notification
Choose a title for your notification, an Audience (companies or contacts), and the public or private Slack channel in which you want to receive the notifications from the 3 drop-downs available, then click Save.
If you want to test the notifications, after selecting a Slack channel, click the Send test notification button. You will receive one test notification in the selected channel.
If you selected a contact audience, decide if you want to include Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in the notification or not by using the checkbox available during setup. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the proper consents or disclosures to include PII data in Slack notifications.
You will be able to see a list of all your saved notifications and some properties:In this view, you can edit, disable and delete notifications.
You're all set! 🔥 Notifications will be automatically synced following each data modelling run for any additions in the selected audience.
Note: Notifications will start after the next data modelling run following notification creation. Notifications for companies or contacts already in your audience won't be sent.
FAQ
How to add the Dreamdata app to a Slack private channel?
Go to the private channel that you want to receive notifications in, click on its name, and select the Integrations tab.
Click the Add an App button and search for Dreamdata. When the result appears, click Add.
You are now ready to find your private channel in the notifications setup in Dreamdata and receive notifications for your selected audiences!
